Frontierville is a free Zynga game available only on Facebook. Gamers are given a virtual plot of land and must complete missions to build homes, farm land, raise livestock, and build town buildings. Together with friends the gamer collects and trades virtual items. Specific hints and tips can help gamers complete missions and build their frontier town.
Finding Friends for Frontierville
When a gamer starts Frontierville, they do not need any friends; however, as the game progresses friends, or neighbors, are needed. A mission will appear that will require the gamer to find three neighbors. Later missions will require more.
Finding gamer friends is beneficial to success in completing missions. One place to locate potential gamer friends in on the Frontierville forum. To find the forum link simply scroll to the bottom of the Frontierville game page. Once on the forum find the Add Me category and send out invitations to interested parties.
Once a small number of friends have been selected, send those friends a message that you need more friends. They can then communicate to their Frontierville community your request.
Visiting Your Neighbors Daily
Frontierville permits gamers to visit 25 neighbors daily and collect 25 coins, one energy, and one cloth per neighbor. Cloth is needed later in the game, so collect as much as possible.
Gamers can visit all of their neighbors daily and partake in five tasks on that neighbors' property. Missions will require work done on neighbors' property. Regardless, visit all neighbors everyday and complete the five tasks. These tasks will produce coins, reputation hearts, and even energy and collection items.
Every Frontierville player automatically receives one friend, Jack. Jack has multiple items on his property and gamers can conduct five activities daily on his frontier. One mission may require the gamer to feed five neighbor's horses. Instead of traveling to multiple neighbor's land to find a horse to feed, the gamer can visit Jack and feed his one horse once, return to their land, then return back to Jack's property.
Jack's horse will be ready to be fed again. If the gamer does this sequence five times in a row, the mission will be completed.
Collecting Mission Items
In order to complete missions or to build town buildings, gamers need to collect mission items. Unfortunately, these items are not for sale and must be collected from friends. For example, to build a chicken coop, one needs paint, hand drills, bricks, nails, and hammers. Gamers need to ask their Frontierville friends to send them the items.
The gamer's Facebook account has a Game Request link which will display mission items sent to the gamer and mission items requested from friends. Gamers should check this link daily to collect mission items.
One tip to find more mission items is to visit neighbor's Facebook pages. When neighbors' friends post requests for mission items, the request shows up on the neighbor's status page. Gamers can collect items by replying to these posts even if the gamer is not officially a friend.
Understanding Other Frontierville Tips
The following are some additional Frontierville tips:
- Build multiple chicken coops. Gamers can collect bonuses from every building daily. Chicken coops bonuses includes one experience star and one coin per chicken on the property. Collecting the bonus will assist the gamer to acquire stars to level up and gain additional horseshoes.
- Hire neighbors. Each day gamers can hire three neighbors to complete work on the property. This will reduce the energy used up by the gamer.
- Purchase multiple farm animals. Future missions require the gamer to sell adult animals. Purchase the animals and feed them often to create adult animals to sell.
- Turn in collections sparingly. Once a gamer collects specific collection items, they can turn the collection in for rewards; however, future missions may require a collection item. Since collection items are difficult to acquire, turn in collections cautiously.
- Leave some trees on the property. Trees will repopulate as long as one or more are left alone.
- Leave open spaces in the upper right part corner of the land and lower left. Thorns will grow in the right corner and flowers in the left.
